Michael Yi’s expertise is built on more than credentials — it’s grounded in real business experience. After earning his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, he launched his career as a CPA with Big Four and national firms, quickly gaining a reputation for precision and professionalism.
He then stepped into the role of CFO at an IBM marketing company, gaining first-hand insight into how financial strategy drives real-world business outcomes. From there, Michael took on leadership roles across the finance spectrum — serving as an officer at a $52B investment firm, a principal at a boutique valuation company, and a managing director in both investment banking and national valuation firms.
Alongside his client work, Michael has taught MCLE and CPE courses, lectured at the university level, and spoken at national conferences across the country. His national speaking presentations — delivered to audiences of business owners, attorneys, and financial professionals — reflect his commitment to demystifying valuation and financial strategy. He also serves on several professional boards, driven by a core belief: that clear, credible valuation fuels better business decisions.
